...a gallery copy of your work on cd/dvd-rom is all that is required in the first instance if it is to be marketed and distributed by digimatter... |
...if you are to publish the work yourself, you assume responsibility for: |
ensuring cross-platform compatibility... |
presentation and packaging of the work, such as the design of the cover, label and accompanying literature for the disc... |
providing copies of the work when they are ordered through digimatter... |
...artists who are also acting as their own publishers have the option of: |
...sending copies of their work as and when they are ordered, invoicing digimatter for 50% of selling price each time (saves on production costs but ups postage and administraton), OR... |
...providing 5 copies of the work upfront, on a sale or return basis (saving on postage and administration but frontloading production costs). 50% of the sale revenue is then payable to you. All unsold work is returnable upon request... |
...if digimatter is to publish the work on your behalf, it: |
retains the master copies... |
arranges the printing of disc covers, labels and accompanying literature... |
provides copies of the work when they are ordered... |
gives 50% of revenue to you after production costs have been deducted...this can be either after a certain number of copies have been sold or after a specified period of time set by you... |
