Plus Prepare for Impact by FLATPACK001.
FlatPack001 was established in 1998 by Mark Beasley, Stephen Beasley and Tim Hutchinson to assess the viability of producing an accessible and challenging alternative to the static gallery space and develop a versatile, mobile conceptual structure that responds to the individual needs of artist, audience and location. FlatPack001 is an attitude deprived of location. It is a survival compound, a way of developing an alternative set of ideas and a space for experimentation. Collectively the project draws on architectural, curatorial and artistic practice, providing new formats for creative inter-change.
In 'Prepare for Impact' FlatPack001 propose to use the gallery as a drop zone, providing a custom-made parachute to ease the drop of art from one cultural context into another.
